His job duties consist of assisting Pastor Kevin in all aspects of the worship service, conducting visitations, and of course, directing the UBC Celebration choir and coordinating the UBC music ministry. Arnie and his wife, Susan, and three boys - Ben, Micah, and Sam - live in the Union area. Susan is employed as a speech therapist in the Boone County School system. Arnie was born in Covington, Kentucky and grew up in the Florence area. He graduated from Conner High School and attended Georgetown College and Northern Kentucky University and is currently a full-time student at Cincinnati Christian University. He was employed for 25 years with Cinergy, but resigned this position when he entered into full-time ministry. His hobbies include golf, drama, and music (and smiling, as he always has a grin on his face!). He has performed professional theatre at the Aronoff Center in the productions "It's a Wonderful Life," "Music Man," and "Man of LaMancha." Arnie was previously the music minister at Grace Baptist Church (Independence), Main Street Baptist Church (Alexandria), and First Baptist Church (Bellevue). From 1990-2000 he served as the music director for the Christian signing group, "Joyful Praise." He has taken four overseas mission trips to Wales and the U.K. and served as the director of music on these mission teams. He was ordained a deacon at Erlanger Baptist Church and was recently ordained as a pastor at UBC. UBC is indeed very blessed to have such a talented individual as Arnie on our staff. |
